Workmanship warranty on every job
If we touched it and it fails, we come back and fix it. No invoice, no debate.
About us
Home Forecast is a family-run heating and air shop in Toronto, ON. We’ve been fixing furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and water heaters since 2008. Same family, same phone number, same standards.
Our story
In the mid-2000s the chains rolled into town. Pricing got squirrelly. Quotes turned into 90-minute living-room presentations. Techs started getting paid on commission for parts you didn’t need.
We thought homeowners deserved better, so we opened up shop in 2008 with a simple rule: diagnose the actual problem, show the actual price, do the work. If it’s a $40 capacitor, it’s a $40 capacitor. If it’s a full system replace, we’ll explain why and write the financing in plain English.
Eighteen years later we’re still doing it the same way. Just with more trucks, a bigger crew, and a maintenance club for folks who’d rather not get called by the system at 6 p.m. in August.
“The first house we ever serviced is on our route to this day. The kid who was nine when we replaced their furnace just bought a place across town and called us for his AC. That’s the whole business model.”
Milestones
No spin, no “disrupting the industry” talk. Just the actual sequence of events.
Started in a garage with a used Ford E-250 and a referral list of fifteen neighbors. Most of them are still customers.
Decided early on that the only way to scale without losing the standard was to train people from scratch. Every tech on the crew today came up through that program.
Tired of customers feeling sandbagged. We built a flat-rate book and put it on every truck. The price you see is the price you pay.
Members kept asking for a maintenance plan that didn't read like a phone contract. So we made one. Month to month, real perks, no fine print.
Still family-owned. Still answering the phone ourselves on weekends. Still showing up when we said we would.
What you can expect
These aren’t marketing slogans. They’re on every invoice, every estimate, and every membership card.
If we touched it and it fails, we come back and fix it. No invoice, no debate.
We don't pull tools out until you've seen the number and tapped approve.
The Protection Plan is month to month. Cancel with one phone call. Seriously.
August at 6 p.m. is when systems quit. A real tech answers the line, not a service.
How we work
If a $40 capacitor fixes it, we install the capacitor. We're not commissioned to upsell you a system you don't need.
Every tech has the senior crew on speed dial. We'd rather pause and ask than guess on your dime.
Drop cloths, shoe covers, swept floors. Your house should look better when we leave than when we arrived.
No scare tactics, no jargon walls. If your grandma wouldn't understand the explanation, we rewrite it.
We cover Toronto and the surrounding ON area within roughly a 40-mile radius of the shop. Outside that? Call anyway. If we can’t come, we’ll tell you who we’d send our own family to.
Couple of minutes on the qualifier and we’ll text you back with next steps. Or just call. A person picks up.
